I help individuals and teams effectively and efficiently navigate and resolve conflicts through holistic and strategic methods that are not found within traditional dispute resolution. I bring seventeen years of commercial litigation experience as a nationally recognized managed care attorney, but I will no longer prosecute or defend legal claims. I support clients in avoiding or limiting costly and uncertain legal processes, and where litigation or arbitration are necessary or underway, I support clients in preserving paths for efficient resolution.
As an attorney, I built a niche legal practice and firm to allow the freedom to think about disputes differently. I slowly became less aligned to the machinations of litigation and arbitration as the most effective or direct means to achieve desired outcomes. I am skilled in leveraging litigation and negotiation strategy, but I appreciate the central role of human emotion within every dispute. I offer mechanisms and strategies for limiting overall risk, cost and inefficiency by honoring human emotional drivers of conflict.
I bring intuition and deep discernment, along with practical experience and analytical skills, to support clients to broadly understand each issue or dispute, including the underlying drivers, emotion and limiting beliefs. I help clients define real objectives and align strategies to desired outcomes. I also offer practical pre-litigation advice and support, including assistance in selecting counsel, negotiating rates, obtaining realistic budgets, aligning incentives through alternative fee arrangements and identifying early strategies for resolution without compromising negotiation leverage.
I work with individuals and leaders who prioritize business results, cooperation and productivity and who are open to more evolved mechanisms for addressing and avoiding expensive and uncertain conflict.
